About
Solid is a keyboard for Android that puts Solana payments inside every app you already type in. Ask a friend for money in WhatsApp, split dinner four ways in the group chat, or send a customer their bill, without leaving the conversation. HOW IT WORKS Tap the Solid logo on the strip above the keys and choose Request, Send or Split. Type the amount on Solid's own pad, so nothing reaches the chat until you are ready. Approve in your own wallet, and the payment link or the receipt lands in the conversation. THE PERSON PAYING NEEDS NO APP A Solid link opens a payment page on any phone, Android or iPhone. It opens their own Solana wallet, states the amount, the token and the network, and has a QR code for paying from another phone. Links are short, and nobody can change the amount on the way. No wallet yet? Getting one takes two minutes, and the page brings them straight back. RANDS FIRST, YOUR MONEY NEXT Get paid in rands with ZARP, or in USDC, USDT and SOL anywhere in the world. More local stablecoins are coming. FACE TO FACE Tap Get paid, type the amount and show the code. Their wallet opens with the figure filled in, and your screen turns green the moment the money lands. ORE SAVINGS Keep some of what you're paid in ORE. Solid swaps it through Jupiter and stakes it in ORE's own program in one transaction, and your savings earn a share of ORE's protocol revenue. Take it out whenever you like. When a bill comes in, pay it straight from your savings in USDC, USDT or SOL, from the ORE screen or from the keyboard in any chat. ORE's price moves, and the screen says so. SWAP AND CASH OUT Swap between the tokens you hold at Jupiter's price. Solid takes nothing. Cash out to your exchange's deposit address, checked before anything is sent. FOR EVERYONE • Request, send and split in SOL, USDC, USDT, ZARP and SKR • Balances in rands or dollars • Requests that mark themselves paid, matched to the payment on the chain • Pay a .sns name, or scan, paste or screenshot an address • Receipts you can share or save as a PDF, read from the chain • Activity read from the chain, still there when you are offline • Claim links to pay somebody who has no wallet yet • Reminders for money that is due every month • Your SKR: what you stake, what it has grown by and what it opens • Stamps from the shops you buy from, kept in your own wallet SOLID BUSINESS Not only for shops. It's for anyone paid for what they do: a side hustle, a freelancer or consultant, a tutor on call-outs, a market stall, a salon or a busy restaurant, with no company registration needed. Turn the phone you already have into a till that fits your trade. Ring up items, send bills and invoices with your VAT and business details, see what is still waiting, and give staff their own phones so every sale carries a name. Customers pay with Solana Pay, and the money lands in your shop's own wallet the moment they pay. There is no card machine and no percentage of every sale. BUILT TO BE TRUSTED WITH MONEY • Solid never holds your keys. You approve every payment in your own wallet, through Mobile Wallet Adapter or Seed Vault. • Every swap, save and payment from savings is simulated before your wallet opens, and Solid reads the swap itself to check it holds the minimum you were shown. • The keyboard has no network code and never reads the text already on your screen. • Payments and word learning switch off in password fields. • An address that looks like one you have paid before is stopped before you sign. • No ads, analytics or tracking anywhere in the app. • Delete what Solid keeps about your wallet from Settings, whenever you like. Solid is free to use. Solid Business is free for 30 days, then a flat monthly fee paid in stablecoins, or opened by staking SKR instead. Send money like you send a message.
What's New
What's new in 0.3.1 Asks for less. No storage access, and choosing a screenshot no longer asks for your photos. Solid only asks for the camera, to scan a code, and your fingerprint, to unlock it. The keyboard sits clear of Android's navigation buttons on newer phones. Ready for Android 16. Solid now needs Android 10 or later.
